I don’t seem to have been writing much lately, so perhaps you can help me.

Your challenge is to send me a prompt – it could be a first line, a scenario, an object in an unusual situation, whatever you like, though please keep it decent or I will fire you off into cyber-darkness!

If your prompt inspires me to write a story you’re a winner and I will give you due recognition! If my story gets published anywhere, be assured I will give you due credit.

Deadline: 1st November, 12.00 GMT
